About 30 minutes from Drepano, Mycenae is one of the most important archaeological sites in Greece and the world. It is here that the Mycenaean civilization, the first great cultural power of Europe, was born and flourished.

Walking through the area, you will see the famous Lion Gate, the imposing symbol of the ancient power of Mycenae, the Royal Tombs, where according to tradition the treasures of Agamemnon were found, as well as the Archaeological Museum of Mycenae, where findings are exhibited that reveal the wealth and splendor of the era.
